Earthmoving Contractors Servicing the Barossa Valley & Regional SA
Total Earthworx has been moving Barossa earth since 1997. As commercial earthmoving contractors, we deliver site grading, bulk earthmoving, roadworks and carpark construction for developers, councils, wineries and industrial clients across the Barossa Valley and regional South Australia, with certified compaction and the scheduling reliability that commercial projects demand.
Every project gets an experienced operator, the right machine and a contractor who understands that earthmoving sits on the critical path: when the groundwork runs late, everything after it runs late. We plan, communicate and turn up.

02
Bulk Earthmoving & Cut and Fill
Efficient bulk material movement for commercial developments and civil projects, with cartage, spoil management and quarry material supply handled as part of the job.
03
Roadworks
Road construction and repair for councils, wineries and private landholders, from rural access roads and driveways to sealed pavements, including kerbing and bitumen work.
04
Carpark Construction
Complete carpark builds from cut to compaction, including drainage, base preparation, kerbing and sealing. Our work includes the carpark at St Columba College.
05
Certified Compaction
Compaction testing and certification across our earthmoving works, giving builders, engineers and certifiers the documentation they need.
06
Grave Digging
We provide grave digging services in our catchment area to cemeteries, councils and funeral directors according to their specifications based on religious practices, personal preferences and other key considerations. We understand that graves are unlike other work sites and carry out our work with a high degree of care and consideration to our clients’ needs.
07
Animal Burial Services
We also carry out animal burial excavation for farms, studs, equine properties and rural landholders across the Barossa Valley and regional SA. Whether it's a single horse or livestock following a stock loss, we bring the right machine to your property, excavate to an appropriate depth and location, and backfill and reinstate the ground afterwards.
Losing an animal is rarely a good day, and for many of our clients this is a job they'd rather have handled quickly and quietly. We can usually respond at short notice, and our 24/7 call out service is available where the situation can't wait.
08
Quarry Supplies & Cartage
Supply and delivery of quarry materials, rubble, fill and aggregates with our own tippers, so material supply never holds up your programme.

Earthmoving Contractor or Plant Hire — Which Do You Need?
If you have supervision and a clear scope, wet or dry plant hire gives you machines and operators on your terms, you direct the work. If you need the job delivered levels hit, compaction certified, program met, you need an earthmoving contractor who owns the outcome. Total Earthworx does both: many clients start with plant hire and move to contracted earthmoving as projects grow. Not sure which suits your project? Call us and we'll give you a straight answer.

FAQs
What does an earthmoving contractor do?
An earthmoving contractor delivers the machine works that shape a site; grading, levelling, cut and fill, roadworks and compaction as a managed outcome, with the contractor responsible for hitting design levels and specifications. That's the difference from plant hire, where you direct the machine yourself.
Do you provide compaction certification?
Yes. We provide certified compaction across our earthmoving works essential for building approvals and engineering sign-off on commercial projects.
Can you supply materials as well as move them?
Yes. We supply and cart quarry materials with our own tippers, which keeps material supply, cartage and placement under one contractor and one point of responsibility.
How is earthmoving priced?
Depending on the project, we price as a fixed quote against a defined scope or as wet hire rates for open-ended works. Site conditions, material volumes, cartage distances and compaction requirements all factor in, we'll assess your site and recommend the structure that suits.
