Plant Hire Barossa Valley
Plant Hire Barossa Valley
Total Earthworx supplies wet hire plant and equipment across the Barossa Valley: the machine and an experienced operator, on your site, on your terms. Every hire comes with our own operator, so there is never a bare machine on your site without someone qualified running it. Commercial, industrial and agribusiness clients use our wet hire fleet for standing capacity on ongoing programs as well as one-off jobs, with the same insurance and licensing behind every booking.

Our Hire Equipment
All equipment is wet hire, supplied with an experienced Total Earthworx operator. We do not offer dry hire or skip bins.
- Excavators, in a range of sizes for tight-access to bulk commercial work
- Loader
- Rollers
- Hydrovac, for non-destructive digging around known services
- Trucks
- Grader
- Skidsteers
- Water Trucks
Why Wet Hire, Not Dry Hire
- One point of accountability: our operator runs the machine to your scope, so there is no separate operator to source or manage.
- No plant licensing or insurance gaps: the operator's tickets and our insurance travel with the machine.
- Commercial-grade reliability: experienced operators who know Barossa ground conditions, not a fresh face on unfamiliar gear.
- A path to a bigger scope:
many clients start with wet hire for a defined task and move to a fully contracted
earthmoving scope as the project grows.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer dry hire?
No. All our plant hire is wet hire; the machine comes with one of our own experienced operators. We do not offer unsupervised dry hire.
What's the difference between wet hire and dry hire?
Wet hire includes the operator, so you get the machine and a qualified person to run it. Dry hire is the machine only, with you supplying the operator. We only offer wet hire, so licensing, insurance and operator competency are covered on every job.
Is there a minimum hire period?
Industry standard is 4 hours minimum but it depends on the machine and job. Call us with the scope and we'll confirm what's practical.
How is plant hire priced?
Wet hire is priced on an hourly or daily rate depending on the machine, with the operator included. We'll confirm the rate and likely duration before you commit.
Can wet hire turn into a full earthmoving contract?
Yes. A number of our clients start with a wet hire job and move to a fully contracted
earthmoving scope once the project grows beyond a single task.
